Island Life 2
So it’s been 2 and 1/2 months since we moved to Okinawa.
First month was all about getting things done.
We had to unpack, get ourselves situated & settled into our new home, finding places to eat, getting a car, finding hospitals and clinics, etc, etc…
Second month was more about connecting people and finding fun places to hang out, and also finding our new permanent home (we’re renting until we find our forever home).
So we’ve been having fun. We’ve been going to the gym. We’re still busy but we try and find time to enjoy ourselves. One of the things we enjoy doing is to go to the nearest beach during my lunch break. We’d buy some taco rice and a drink and drive down to the beach. Just take a little break from reality, just for a bit in the sun at the beach.
We can watch the sunset from our balcony. We have a pretty great view. How great is that?
We have to remember to breathe. That’s literally why we’re here. I have asthma and I need humidity and warmer climate. And here I can finally breathe. Literally and figuratively.
